Just another day

It's morning again. His daily ritual begins with a five minute (cold) shower and ends with him packing Quark's lunch. Today, his alarm rings and he lazily shuts it off. He's feeling exhausted...but they need the money so he has to go work.

 

He idly wonders whether he can get away with calling-in sick for one day but one look at the sleeping figure next to him reminds him he's not living just for his own sake...So it is with a lazy smile and a kiss to the boy's forehead that he finds the motivation to get up and keep moving.
